Alternative Process Exhibition Juried By Christopher James

http://www.neworleansphotoalliance.org/exhibitions.php

Over the past 175 years photography has moved from Daguerreotypes to
Digital imaging and, with each iteration of process, artists have explored
new ways of seeing. The New Orleans Photo Alliance is exploring the work of
contemporary artists who, in this overtly digital age, still remain true to the
once lost processes of Daguerreotypes, Wet Plate Collodion, Tintypes,
Ambrotypes, Cyanotypes, Albumen, Gum-Bichromate, Platinum/Palladium
and any other hand-applied process for this exhibition, ANOTHER
WAY OF SEEING.

The juror is Christopher James, author of The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes and the Chair of the photography program at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University as well as an internationally recognized artist and photographer whose paintings and photographs have been exhibited in galleries and museums in this country and abroad.
