Alternative Photo Revolution

NOPA is pleased to serve as the local partner for the Alternative Photo Revolution event coming to New Orleans March 31–April 1 at L’Entropot, 527 Julia Street.

Combining contemporary photography with historical photo printmaking processes, the Alternative Photo Revolution is one-of-a-kind. Printed in Toronto by Bob Carnie Printmaking, this group show features photographers from across North America.

2:30–3:15 PM join Phil Jessup for an Artist Talk and Q+A: Imperiled Landscapes: Impacts of Climate Change

Since 2005, Phil Jessup has been photographing wild landscapes that may vanish due to climate change. He has visited remote regions of the Arctic and Pacific, as well as populous cities like Hong Kong, where world class mangrove swamps could be inundated by sea level rise. Phil will show slides of his work and discuss with the audience the implications of climate change for the wild places we cherish.of
