COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

Development and Outreach Committee
Arthur Severio, Chair: This committee oversees the fundraising and development efforts of the organization including sponsorship and membership outreach, fundraising events, and grant writing and research.

Programming and Education Committee
Eddie Lanieri and Julie Verlinden, Chairs.  This committee is responsible for producing workshops, educational programs and community outreach projects including 2nd Tuesday meetings at NOPA, the EverydayNewOrleans Projects, the Artist Talk series, and the UnderExposed.

Exhibitions and Grant Program Committee
Jennifer Williams and Zack Smith, Chairs: This committee is responsible for of all NOPA Gallery exhibitions and promotion of our grant program.  Along with coordinating our grant-winner exhibitions (PhotoNOLA Review Prize, Michael P. Smith Fund for Documentary Photography and the Clarence John Laughlin Award for Fine Art Photography) the committee recommends exhibitions to the Board of Directors.

PhotoNOLA Committee
Jennifer Shaw, Artistic Director and Linka Odom, Volunteer Coordinator: The PhotoNOLA Committee produces NOPA’s premier annual event, the PhotoNOLA Festival of Photography. Committee members work together to plan programs, workshops, exhibitions outreach, the PhotoGALA, PhotoWALK, and CURRENTS, the NOPA member showcase at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
