The Immigrants' Instrument: Portraits from the Accordion's Cross Cultural Realm
Project Summary: I propose photographing accordionists rooted in their various ethnic musical realms including Louisiana, Texas, the rural Midwest, Chicago, and Cleveland. In so doing I intend to show the squeezebox as a universal instrument of cultural expression.
