“I made these photographs during one of several visits to the small Mayan village of San Miguel, Belize. This documentary project involved giving photographs to the village to use in its effort to attract visitors to San Miguel to improve its economy through eco-tourism.”
Leslie Parr is the A. Louis Read Distinguished Professor Emerita at Loyola University, where she taught photography and the history of photography for 35 years. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States and published in numerous magazines, newspapers and books.
