About the Portfolio Reviews

  • by

We’ve gotten a few questions regarding the portfolio reviews, so I wanted to try and clarify these points for everyone.

The Portfolio Reviews will take place on Dec 1 & 2 at the International House Hotel, in downtown New Orleans. The $400 registration fee will guarantee each participant 8 reviews over the two days.

The maximum number of participants will be 51. The list of reviewers is now final.

In advance of the review weekend participants will be given the chance to list the reviewers they wish to see in order of their preference, and every effort will be made to schedule meetings with the reviewers that each participant most wants to connect with.

Registration opened on October 15, 2007, and will be filled on a first come first served basis. You can download the registration form here, and mail it in with your check. If you’d like to alert us by phone or email that your registration is on the way, please do so and we’ll be sure to hold your spot. 504-269-9740 or reviews@photonola.org

We cannot accept faxes as the Alliance does not currently have a fax machine.

For those who would prefer to register and pay electronically, we can accept credit card transactions through PayPal. Please email your complete information – everything that’s requested on the registration form – to reviews@photonola.org We will then send you a PayPal invoice asking you to submit a $406 payment to the New Orleans Photo Alliance through them. (The extra $6 covers half of paypal’s fees.) Once your transaction is complete you will receive notice that you are officially registered for the reviews.

Participants of the Portfolio Reviews are eligible to stay at the International House Hotel at a special PhotoNOLA rate. Just say “PhotoNOLA” when you make your reservation.

Refund policy: Up until Nov. 20, 2007 refunds will be given minus a $50 processing, fee ONLY IF someone else is available fill your spot. No refunds will be given after November 20.
