The 12 12 Gallery of Richmond VA is calling for entries to its International Juried Competition 2011. The early entry deadline for submissions is Thursday, Sept. 1, with an extended deadline of Thursday, Sept. 15.
The difference between the deadlines? Entry fees. Each entrant will pay a non-refundable $25 entry fee for three images submitted before the early deadline, with up to two additional entries costing $5 each. After September 1, the entry fee for the first three images will be $30, with the additional image fee kept at $5.
The competition is open to artists worldwide, who are working in any photographic process–and, a small detail here, at least 18 years old.
The juror for the 12 12 competition is Amalia Pizzardi, founder and director of The Gallery Art and Design of Mexico, Italy and the United States.
The best-in-show winner will be granted a solo exhibition, and will receive up to $1000 in cash prizes.
For more information on the competition, please see the call for entry and prospectus at the 12 12 website.
