Please join photographer Eduardo Garcia for our 2nd Tuesdays @ NOPA event on May 9. Garcia’s work will be included in the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s photography exhibition, “The Light in Cuban Eyes.” The exhibit provides a glimpse into contemporary life in Cuba and is part of the largest celebration of Cuban culture in the U.S since the 1950s. NOPA is thrilled to offer this opportunity to meet the photographer and view a presentation on his work.

Garcia was born in La Habana, Cuba in 1978. He is a self-taught photographer who started his professional career in 2009. Based in Havana, he found himself motivated by the human condition and engaged with people present in his daily life. The themes of his works are primarily social issues.

Free and open to the public.
