Curatorial Premise: Photography and collage have a long history of being in dialogue with one another; however, the intersection of these two mediums is poorly explored. New Orleans Photo Alliance and Kolaj Institute worked together to investigate the intersection of this medium. This is a collection of work by artists who collage their own photographs, make photomontage, use a collage-like process in either the composition of photographs or in the dark room. 

Featured Artists: Kolaj Institute Residents  Kolaj Institute worked with Dafna Steinberg and Lance Rothstein to host a group artist residency focused on artists whose practice is at the intersection of photography and collage. The residency was based at Kolaj Institute Gallery and participants worked out of the darkroom in the New Orleans Photo Alliance Center. We are excited to feature their work in the “Where Photography Meets Collage” exhibition!
