Testimony is a series of painterly still life photographs created real insects and other organic matter to establish a visual sense of the frantic beauty inherent in the natural world while simultaneously referencing art historical apocalyptic imagery.
The Clarence John Laughlin Award annually grants one $5000 prize and an exhibition in the NOPA gallery to a photographer whose work exhibits sustained artistic excellence and creative vision.
