One of our members, John Mack Collins, unexpectedly passed away in March. He was a Covington based photographer who participated in the PhotoNOLA portfolio reviews in 2007 and 2008. John was a delightful human being who will be missed by those whose lives he touched. It was his wise suggestion that prompted us to institute the “Photographers Happy Hour” after the close of the portfolio review, offering a chance for us all to communally decompress after the intensity of the review sessions.
His wife is Nancy has organized an online “estate sale” of John’s photography equipment, including:
Hasselblad H4D-50, MC Macro 4/120 lense, tilt/shift adapter, battery grip
Epson 9800 printer, rolling cases and other lenses as well, plus much very good paper for the Epson.
