Alliance Francaise seeks contest entrants through Oct. 31

Alliance Française de la Nouvelle-Orléans is seeking entrants for, “Ma Louisiane: What Makes Louisiana French? Local Life, Towns, Architecture and Cuisine,” a juried photo competition. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Oct. 31.

Selections will be exhibited at the Historic New Orleans Collection’s Williams Research Center in the French Quarter, beginning Saturday, Nov. 19 and running through Thursday, Dec. 1.

A grand prize of $250 will be awarded to the winning adult entrant. A $100 grand prize will go to the winner of a separate category for entrants of ages 15 to 18. Second and third prizes will be awarded in each category.

Sponsors of the Alliance Francaise contest include: Restaurant August, the Consulate General of France in New Orleans, Dorignac’s grocery,  the French-American Chamber of Commerce Gulf Coast Chapter, The Historic New Orleans Collection, Lakeside Camera and LeMieux Galleries.
