Call For Artists: 2009 No Dead Artists

DEADLINE APPROACHING: 13th Annual No Dead Artists Juried Exhibition

The Annual NO DEAD ARTISTS, now in its 13th year, is an open juried exhibition of Louisiana art today. The exhibition was created in 1995 to give a voice to underexposed artists. Jury winner’s work will be on exhibit at the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, 400a Julia Street, in the New Orleans Arts District and selected jury winners will appear in a feature article in the September 2nd issue of the Gambit. In the article, art critic D. Eric Bookhardt will review the exhibition. This annual event is designed to give a real pulse on the creative scene happening in New Orleans and Louisiana today.

NO DEAD ARTISTS is open to living artists working in the state of Louisiana. All mediums are accepted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, glass, metal work, photography, video, mixed media and installation art.

Applications can be picked up at the Jonathan Ferrara gallery at 400a Julia Street in New Orleans.

THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS JULY 17, 2009.
The exhibition is on view from September 2 – 26, 2009 at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery.
