Between the Faithful and the Forlorn
Juried by Andy Levin of 100Eyes
Deadline March 17

The New Orleans Photo Alliance is pleased to announce a call for entries for its next photo exhibition. This show will be juried by Andy Levin of 100Eyes.

“Faith and desperation are polar opposites, yet so much of human experience falls between the two. As humans, we are faced with uncertainty and often face obstacles as our lives evolve. The way that we deal with these obstacles can show either the best or worst of our humanity.
This is a call for photographs that explore both the fervor of devotion and the depths of despair, or something between the two”
.  — Andy Levin

Andy Levin is a photographer, teacher, and editor living in New Orleans, Louisiana. A contributing photographer with Life Magazine in the 90’s, Levin moved to Louisiana a year before Hurricane Katrina from his native city of New York. A finalist for the Eugene Smith Prize in 2008, Levin is interested in the rights of the underclass, and the relationship between a changing environment and the economically challenged.
