CURRENTS 2018

    New Orleans Photo Alliance members are invited to submit work for consideration in CURRENTS 2018. The exhibit will open on December 7 at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in conjunction with the 2018 PhotoNOLA Festival.

    RELEVANT DATES
    Deadline: October 25, 2018, 12 am/midnight CST
    Notification: November 10, 2018
    Receipt of artwork: Nov 27, 2018
    Installation of exhibition: December 3 ~ 5, 2018
    Exhibition Dates: December 6, 2018 ~ February 15, 2019
    Opening Reception & Juror’s Talk: Friday Dec 14, 5-7pm
    Exhibition closes: February 15, 2019

    JUROR
    Anjuli Lebowitz is an exhibition research associate in the department of photographs at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, where she works on exhibitions and publications. Previously, she was a Jane and Morgan Whitney Fellow in the department of photographs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she curated Faith and Photography: Auguste Salzmann in the Holy Land. Anjuli earned a Ph.D. from Boston University, an M.A. from CUNY Hunter College, and a B.A. with honors from Williams College.

    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
    > Open theme
    > Submit 5-10 jpegs, from a cohesive body of work
    > Artist statement + brief project description are also required
    > All art submitted must be original work, created by the applicant
    > $25 application fee to be directed through Paypal immediately after your application has been successfully uploaded.
    > New Orleans Photo Alliance reserves the right to use selected images in web and print for exhibition related publicity purposes; NOPA will properly credit the photographers
    > Images exhibited in previous CURRENTS exhibitions are not eligible for submission

    ELIGIBILITY
    Submission is open to all current members of the New Orleans Photo Alliance. Applicants may join at time of entry. You will need to create an Entry Thingy account in order to participate in this Call for Entries.
