David H, Lyman is the founder, and for 33 years the CEO and visionary
behind The Maine Photographic Workshops�a world renown photography
and media center located in Rockport, Maine. In 1996, David founded
and developed an innovative conservatory for the world�s
storytellers and image-makers that is now Rockport College. For more
than 30 years, David�s writings, lectures, mentoring and workshops
have helped tens of thousands of artists, photographers, filmmakers
and writers change their lives, discover their true purpose and lead
more creative and rewarding lives and professional careers. David
recently established a new enterprise, Media Workshops International
which conducts workshops in exciting locations and cities around the
world. He is currently working on building a new international media
center on the Island of Mallorca. David also lectures and leads
workshops in personal and career advancement for creative people:
photographers, filmmakers, artists, CEOs and media professionals.
David’�s lecture, about and hour long, with another hour for
discussion, includes insights into the Artists� Path and what David
calls his �8 Keys to Success.� David explains who we are as
artists, where creativity comes from, what is fear and how to
overcome it, and why we oft-times lose our desire to create. He
demystifies and explains the Creative Process, and provides
techniques for re-energizing one�s creative and artistic life. This
is an evening to discover more a bout yourself as an artists and
creative person, where your passions lie and where your �inner
artist� is leading you.
Come with a note book and a tape recorder.
David will be in New Orleans all week in conjunction with a Digital
Video Journalists workshop, being held at the Ambassador Hotel. He is
available to look at portfolios discuss career opportunities and
educational options. You can make an appointment for a 45-minute
consultation at the lecture. There is no charge for the lecture or
the consultation.
