The International School of Louisiana (ISL) is hosting its 7th Annual Refrigerator Art Auction & Gala to raise much needed funds for its arts program. To make it a success, they need help from local artists and businesses.

All proceeds from the sale of donated items will go directly to ISL’s visual, musical, and circus arts programs. Tipitina’s Foundation will host the 10th Annual Instruments A Comin’ benefit this coming May 2nd, 2011 at the legendary Tipitina’s Uptown. This event features an outdoor festival, silent auction, arts and crafts market, as well as an indoor blowout concert. Proceeds raised during this event are used to purchase musical instruments for local schools and extra-curricular band programs. To make the silent auction portion a success, we are requesting donations of goods or services. Since we are a music-based non-profit, we would love to be able to showcase some local and/or music-based photographers. This event, held between the 1st and 2nd week of Jazz Fest, is attended by hundreds of locals and visitors alike and your work will be seen by a varied audience. All donations are tax-deductible. Please call 504.309.7934 for details or use the form located on the Foundation website. Please respond by March 15th!
**If you are an arts market vendor, or have a set-up conducive to selling at an arts market, please contact jensley@tipitinas.com, or at the above phone number, about participating in that portion of this event.**
