Local photography on exhibit at “Art Spill”

  • by

Work from New Orleans area photographers is being shown as part of a group exhibit, “Art Spill: Disaster, Art, Activism, and Recovery,” which will be the focus of a closing celebration on Saturday, Nov. 20, at St. Claude Arts District in The Marigny at 2822 St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans. The event will be held from 4 to 10 p.m.

Among those with works exhibited for “Art Spill” are NOPA member Lynda Frese, along with Stacy Kranitz, and Craig Morse.

Auctions will be held online and at the exhibit site, in connection with the event, to benefit Defenders of the Coast and NOLA Emergency Response, watchdog groups working on Gulf Coast recovery issues. Food and drink will be provided by Eiffel Restaurant, and the Lazy Magnolia and Bayou Brew regional brewing companies.

“Art Spill” is sponsored by Ethnographic Terminalia, and Collective World Art Community, and is being held in collaboration with the ongoing Multi-Species Salon 3: SWARM.
