The Louisiana State Museum in Patterson has announced the 2nd Annual Louisiana Professional Photographers Exhibit for March 19, 2009 through May 2, 2009. The Louisiana Professional Photographers for Southern Excellence is a special committee that was established to coordinate this year’s photographer participation and exhibition. The theme for the exhibit is “My Louisiana”.
Photographs of any related subject that depicts a story of Louisiana’s people, culture, food, traditions, landscapes will be accepted. No nudes will be considered for this exhibition and the Museum will have final discretion on what images will be displayed in the exhibit.
To participate, please email Rick Najdzion at rick@cowboyupphotos.com or Karla Byron at kjbyron@cox.net to receive a Call for Entry packet. The Statement of Intent found in that packet along with an entry fee must be submitted before December 1, 2008. A minimum of 2 entries per photographer will be accepted, a maximum of 5 images. You can adjust your number of images prior to the Artist Statement deadline of February 6, 2009.
