Masquerade Call for Entry

Coinciding with the 2014 Carnival season the New Orleans Photo Alliance will host “Masquerade,” a group exhibition to be juried by Aline Smithson of Lenscratch. We are seeking submissions from photographers who point their lenses at the ritual of masking, tapping into the ornateness, absurdity or chaos that it evokes.
We want to see your family trick-or-treating photos, portraits done on Fat Tuesday, or any other images that depict the custom of being masked.
The Masquerade exhibition will be on view from February 1 through March 30, 2014 at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery.
The opening reception will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 6:30pm.

Submission Guidelines:
-Submit 1-6 jpegs
-You will have to create an account through EntryThingy in order to submit your entry (unless you already have one).
-All art submitted must be original work, created by the applicant.
-New Orleans Photo Alliance reserves the right to use selected images in web and print for exhibition related publicity purposes; NOPA will properly credit the photographers.
-Accepted works should be presented professionally, wired and ready to hang.
