Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Students (past and present),
This terrific news (see attachment) was sent to me recently so I’m passing it – and my excitement – on to you. The April issue of FOCUS Magazine (p. 70) published a current list of the ten best selling photography books and to my utter amazement Holding Out and hanging On, made the cut. More astonishing still is its placement. FOCUS is a glossy hi-end journal circulated among photography collectors, gallery owners, and the like. Since the majority of you have acquired one or multiple copies (18 seems to be the record) I have you to thank for this recognition. I am forever grateful for your encouragement and support.
PS: If you happen to be in the Atlanta area later this month, about 15 of the Katrina Portraits will be shown with works from three other photographers, at Lumiere Gallery, located in the Galleries of Peachtree Hills. The opening reception is Thursday, June 26.
