Southern Glossary, a newly created, New Orleans-based online magazine that focuses on the disparate art, culture, history, and traditions of the American South, is seeking work from photographers, as well as writers and illustrators.
More particularly, the magazine seeks stories told through words or images about the people, events and art of the South. Pitches for photo essays are sought. Meanwhile, inquiries are welcome from photographers or others who are seeking assignments, ones that would be of benefit to the content creators as well as the website.
For now, at least, the startup online publication cannot offer pay for work. However, according to the editors, their aim is to promote content creators, and not just publish content. The magazine will include links to portfolios and creator websites in featured content.
