NOPA Member Marc Pagani Awarded First Prize – Prix de la Photographie, Paris

Marc Pagani of the United States was Awarded: First Prize in category Photojournalism for the entry titled, ” Mountaineers Series .” The jury selected 2008’s winners from thousands of photography entries from over 85 countries.

Winning entries from each category (Advertising, Photojournalism, Book, Fine Art, Nature, and Portraiture) are exhibited in Paris at the prestigious Galerie Acte 2 from June 26-28 and published in the high-quality, full-color Px3 Annual Book, which is distributed to galleries, agencies, publishers and bookstores worldwide.

About the Winner:
Marc Pagani is a New Orleans-based photographer specializing in Adventure Travel images. When he is not on assignment, he is sought after for his fine-art photography, his wedding photojournalism and portraiture. His work has been featured in Outside, Adventure World, Book, Groupeez, and various other international magazines and publications. He has been featured in group and solo shows in Chicago, New Orleans, and California. He is a member of the exclusive Wedding Photojournalist Association, The New Orleans Photo Alliance, and several other professional organizations. Expedition assignments have taken him to North, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. His portfolio show entitled “Scaling Mountains: Small Footprints on Big Glaciers” is currently on display in the Magazine Street Arts Corridor of New Orleans at Mojo Coffee House.
