As part of PhotoNOMA 2014, the New Orleans Photo Alliance will be featuring images and sharing the websites of participating photographers and artists.
Today we are featuring the work of New Orleans based photographer Natasha Sanchez.

Photographic styles from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries… lumen prints (solar photograms, a 19th century printing process), 35mm silver gelatin, and a smidge of digital… document the world as I see it. Incorporating these different methods of photography into my work encourages a fresh perspective. I am currently working on two projects: a World Tour, a philosophical photo project of small towns with international names, and a new lumen series of feathers.
The New Orleans Museum of Art, in partnership with the New Orleans Photo Alliance, is pleased to present PhotoNOMA, a photographers’ portfolio sharing night at the museum. On Friday, April 18 from 5:30pm to 8:30 pm, 100 photographers, from beginners to the well established, will display their work for a community walk-through.
Admission is $10 for the general public, $5 for Photo Alliance members and free to NOMA members. Photography enthusiasts and the public are encouraged to come out to see the wide range of work that will be on display and to take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to meet and engage with the artists.
