I would like to extend an invitation to any members who are interested in contributing to the Programming Committee to attend a meeting next Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the NOPA Gallery, 1111 St. Mary St.
The Programming Committee is responsible for developing exhibitions, educational events, public forums, and exchange programs with other similar institutions.
At this meeting we will wrap up the planning of the first exhibit of 2009 and begin the planning of the second and third exhibits. We will also discuss 6 Shooters, a discussion forum featuring 6 photographers from various disciplines that will take place in December. Film nights are still on the table; we just need someone to take on organizing it. Same goes for workshops, speakers, etc. We have lots of great ideas but simply need the personnel to help these ideas see the light of day. So, if you have a desire to see the Photo Alliance offer its members the very best of photography, step up and lend a hand. We will all benefit from your efforts.
