The Professional Women Photographers (PWP) organization is asking for submissions for a juried competition. Winners will have their work displayed in an online gallery, beginning in May, and exhibited at Manhattan’s SohoPhoto Gallery, beginning in July. The deadline for submissions is February 28.
The online and gallery exhibition theme will be, “Contrasts.” The exhibition juror will be photojournalist and three-time Pulitzer-winner Ruth Fremson.
The call for entries is open to all women photographers, whether amateur or professional, and living in any part of the world. Only two-dimensional work may be submitted, but the PWP advises that experimental and mixed techniques will be welcome. The entry fee is $35 for the first three images, and $10 for each additional image submitted.
A complete prospectus on the juried competition is available at the PWP website.
