The RayKo Photo Center of San Francisco CA has issued call for entry for its 5th Annual International Plastic Camera Show, a juried competition open to all artists who use plastic cameras with plastic lenses–as in, Holga, Lomo and Diana cameras or similarly humble, but occasionally mighty hunks of, well, plastic.
NOPA Blog readers should note that organizers say that more obsolete, flawed and “lo-tech” the cameras used for submissions are, “the better.”
The deadline for the juried competition is Friday, Nov. 25.
The competition is open to all photographers. All work must be taken with plastic cameras that have plastic lenses, as suggested above, and must be original. Works previously shown at the RayKo center are ineligible for entry.
The best of show winner will receive a $350 cash prize.
