The New Orleans Photo Alliance is pleased to announce a call for entries for a national juried show:
TOY STORIES: Hi brow Photos from Low-fi Cameras
Is your world fuzzy? Is your vision full of light leaks? Are you soft around the edges?

TOY STORIES: Hi Brow Photos from Low-fidelity Cameras.
Juror: Susan Burnstine: Winner of B&W Magazines Excellence Award for 2006 Portfolio Contest, 2007 Aperture Book Prize nominee and a contributing writer for Black & White Photography Magazine. Susan’s highly regarded series, “On Waking Dreams” was photographed using homemade cameras and lenses.

A Lensbaby will be given as a juror’s prizes to Best in Show
and there will be two honorable mentions as well.
Deadline for Submissions: EXTENDED to NOON on Saturday January 12, 2008 drop off at 1111 St Mary St. at the Alliance Gallery if you are in town – if out of town please have it arrive by noon Saturday to 1111 St. Mary St. New Orleans, La. 70130.
Notification: Monday, January 21st
Delivery of Accepted Work: Friday, February 8th
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 16th 6-9 p.m.
Exhibition Closes: April 1st
Submission Guidelines:
-Eligibility: Open to photographs taken with toy, homemade and pinhole cameras.
-CD submissions only (no emailed entries will be accepted).
-Include up to 5 images per submission.
-Please save digital files in jpeg format at 72 dpi and 8 inches on the longest dimension.
-Label each image with: last name_firstname_title_frameddimensions_entrynumber
-Include a corresponding list of entries with titles, dates, and framed dimensions and sale price for each image.
-Please write or print name, mailing address, phone number and email address on the CD.
-Accepted work should be presented with black frames and white mats, wired and ready to hang.
-Work that arrives after the delivery deadline will not be included in the exhibit.
-Shipped work must have return postage included in package.
-Sales/ Commissions: 70% Artist and 30% Photo Alliance
-Please follow ALL submission guidelines!

Members: $20
Non-members: $30
Membership + Submission: $45 ($10 savings)
-Checks or money orders should be made payable to New Orleans Photo Alliance.
The Photo Alliance reserves the right to reject any delivered art that does not match the online submission, or fails to meet framing and matting requirements. Artists will be given notice regarding a rejected submission and it is their option and responsibility to replace or correct it, time permitting. The Photo Alliance is not liable for any damages in shipping to or from the gallery, or for work left 30 days after the closing of the exhibition.
