Works from NOPA member Lori Waselchuk’sGrace Before Dying,” a documentary photography series that focuses on the inmate hospice system of the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, will be exhibited this week in connection with a hospice conference in New Orleans.

The documentary photographer will be on hand on Friday, March 15, during the conference, for a signing of her “Grace Before Dying” book. The event is set for 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Works from the series will be shown near the Great Hall of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from Wednesday, March 13 through Saturday, March 16. The exhibit is being held in connection with the Annual Assembly of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA).

Quilts made by inmate hospice volunteers will also be shown as part of the exhibit.
