NOPA member Ellen Susan is offering a 2-day wet plate collodion workshop at her Savannah studio on January 19th-20th, 2013. This is an opportunity to gain hands on experience in one of the earliest and most beautiful photographic processes. The collodion process is experiencing a major contemporary resurgence, with photographers such as Sally Mann and Robb Kendrick and Joni Sternbach using it to make fine art images.
Ellen Susan is one of the longest practicing wet plate photographers in the region, and has shown her wet plate work locally (at the Telfair Museum) and nationally.
This is a small class-size workshop, with a maximum of 6 spaces. There are currently 3 remaining spaces.
