A New Orleans Photo Alliance Members’ Showcase will be on exhibit at the Crescent City Brewhouse in the French Quarter through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, in connection with the PhotoNOLA festival of photography. The “Currents 2010” exhibit, which began on Nov. 30, features the work of 13 NOPA members.
Dr. Tony Lewis, Curator of Visual Arts at the Cabildo, the Louisiana State Museum in New Orleans, chose 79 prints for “Currents.” The exhibit features five or more works by each selected photographer. You can check out a preview of the works at the PhotoNOLA website.
The NOPA members with work in “Currents 2010” include:Renee Allie, David Armentor, Thom Bennett, John Bridges, Darcy Culp, Lisa Eveleigh, George Griswold, Steffanie Halley, Bette Kauffman, Jill Moore, Amy Onesti, John Watson Riley and Lesley Wells.
The Crescent City Brewhouse is located at 527 Decatur Street in the French Quarter.
PhotoNOLA is an annual festival of photography in New Orleans, coordinated by the New Orleans Photo Alliance in partnership with galleries, museums and other venues citywide. This festival marks its fifth year in 2010.
