The Swan River Yoga Center of New Orleans will hold a special yoga class on Saturday, March 12, in order to help send Derek Goodwin, a local photographer and yoga instruction student, to Jivamukti-style yoga teacher training in New York. Goodwin is also offering his photo services to the Crescent City yoga community in effort to raise more funds for teacher training.
The class, led by instructors Libby Bryan and Jacksun Slaughter, will be held from 10:45 a.m. 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. All proceeds will go toward Goodwin’s efforts.

Goodwin earned his bachelor’s degree in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1996. His has operated a photo services business ever since, specializing in wedding photography.
